As Dean of Academic Affairs at Teikyo Loretto Heights University (TLHU),
it is my pleasure to welcome you to our campus and to our community.
As you click your way through this web site, you will find a lot of information
about our beautiful campus, our excellent academic programs and the many
services and facilities available to you as a TLHU student.
What is more difficult to express in a web site, however, is the sense
of community and cultural diversity that will shape your experience at
TLHU and prepare you for a career in today’s global economy.
Teikyo Loretto Heights University is a small, friendly institution, and
we pride ourselves on the strong community we have created. This is a
place where everyone, students, faculty and staff alike, know each other
by name. Having been an international university for the past 19 years
we are very familiar with the fears and apprehensions that many students
experience when they come half way around the world to study in a new
place. I can assure you that everyone here will go out of our way to make
you feel welcome – this is what we do best.
At TLHU you can expect to make new friends from places you may not have
even heard of before coming here. You’ll find that you have much
in common with your fellow students, and also that you have many differences.
It is these differences, and the intimate knowledge you will gain of cultures
other than your own, that will make your experience at TLHU truly unique.
When you graduate from this institution, you will have forged friendships
that will last a lifetime and will infinitely enrich you personally and
professionally.
